Your character in Cave Story MacBook Version wakes up in a cave without remembering of how he came to be there. He discovers a village of Mimigas, persecuted by someone known as the Doctor. His servants Misery and Balrog are trying to find Sue Sakamoto. She is a girl who is now transformed in a Mimiga. But the servants don’t find her and by mistake they abduct another Mimiga called Toroko. You are going yo find Sue in the Egg Corridor. There the eggs of a Sky Dragon are able to help her escape the floating island if they hatched.
The game takes place within the interior of a floating island. That place is field with Mimigas, some sort of rabbit-like creatures. A certain species of red flower growing in the island makes the Mimigas to become violent frenzy. The island is also hiding an artifact known as the Demon Crown. So an army of robot soldiers are send to seek the artifact in order to use it as a weapon on the surface world.
